Expression of interest PMSC Under 15 and 16 Playing Group.

PMSC are now accepting applications to assist with the final development stage of our 15 and 16 playing group for the 2019 season.

Both playing groups are critical for the PMSC senior pathway, ensuring that our change in direction and football culture is implemented to the highest standard.

This position will be working closely with and reporting to our “Head of Football” Adam Piddick.

The key task for the 2 playing groups is to begin the transformation process from junior to senior level. The successful candidate must demonstrate the following skill sets;

  • ability to provide discipline and structure within playing group
  • demonstrate high technical football awareness and skill
  • provide firm leadership and guidance
  • ability to work closely with the Adam Piddick (Head Of Football) to enable a pathway for elite players into senior program
  • relative football playing experience, enabling a high level of football knowledge and experience
  • ability to work closely with the senior football program
  • provide skill set to bring out the best of talented young individuals
  • B license will be applicable as a bare minimum. A license will be viewed favourably.

Expression of interest PMSC MiniRoos Elite U9 – 11 Playing Group.

PMSC are now accepting applications to assist with the core development stage of our Elite U9 and 11 Playing Group for the 2019 season.

The MiniRoos Elite U9 – 11 Playing Group is critical for the PMSC NPL pathway, ensuring that our change in direction and football culture, is implemented to the highest standard.

This position will be working closely with and  reporting to our “Head of Football” Adam Piddick .

The key tasks for the Miniroos Elite U9 – 11 Playing Group, is to improve 4 critical core skills:

  1. 1 v 1 (attacking & defending)
  2. Running with the ball.
  3. First Touch
  4. Striking the ball.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following skill sets;

  • Ability to provide fun, yet discipline and structured training environment
  • Demonstrate sound technical football awareness and skill
  • Ability to work closely with the Adam Piddick (Head Of Football) to enable a pathway for elite miniroos to the NPL program
  • Relative football playing experience, enabling a high level of football knowledge and experience
  • Provide skill set to bring out the best of talented young players
  • C license will be applicable as a bare minimum. B licenses will be viewed favourably.

Adam Piddick: New Head Of Football

Port Melbourne SC would like to formally introduce our current senior coach, Adam Piddick as our Head Of Football.

Adam has achieved outstanding results during the 2018 season with our senior team making the NPL finals and FFA Cup Round of 32.

This addition will increase the level of expertise in our football program, developing a holistic football pathway from MiniRoos through to senior levels.

National Premier Leagues, Final Series sees Avondale FC playing at ‘Avenger Park’ Reggio Calabria Club, Parkville on Saturday September 8 in a 3pm kickoff against Port Melbourne Sharks.

This elimination match might provide more celebrations during the 50 year history of the Sharks.

If, at the conclusion of any Final or Playoff, the scores between the Teams are tied, extra time of two equal periods of 15 minutes will be used to decide the winner.

If scores remain equal after both periods of extra time, penalty kicks will be taken in accordance with the FIFA Laws of the Game to determine the winner.

Port Melbourne football fans and players have dubbed seniors coach Adam Piddick “the gaffer” or boss of football, following a string of successes by his golden seniors team.

Sharks fans were jubilant this afternoon (Sep 2nd) celebrating the final NPL round with a 0-1 victory over South Melbourne, to advance into the finals.

“I’m so proud of our players who have trained tirelessly”, said Piddick who went on to complement their commitment and support of one another.

This is an amazing achievement for a talented team coached Adam Piddick in his first year at the club.

Anything is possible during this 50 year celebration of the Sharks.

Winning against South Melbourne FC on Sunday will mean Port Melbourne SC play in the finals.

An amazing achievement for a talented team coached by Adam Piddick in his first year at the club.

As there are no games this weekend for NPL we encourage all NPL players to attend this game Sunday 3pm at Lakeside Stadium as our senior boys would appreciate all the support they can get.

Come and celebrate our 50 years.
