Port Melbourne Sharks are pleased to announce that Sam Young will be joining the club as Head of Junior Football (skills acquisition phase).
Sam’s role will be to overlook and run a new program for the MiniRoos.
This is a key role within the new structure at the club and with Sam’s skill set and we are very excited to have him on board.
Port Melbourne Sharks is pleased to announce the return of our Captain Alan Mulcahy for 2019. We are excited to announce that Alan will be involved as a player and also the role of assistant Senior Coach along side Adam Piddick. One of the most experienced NPL players in VIC we know that Alan will bring his high playing intensity style & top class leadership into his coaching role.
On accepting the role Alan said “I am delighted to be back with the Sharks for another season as we look to build the momentum from the 2018 season”

We are excited to announce our re-introduction to women’s football.
John Turnbull will be “Head of Women’s Football” and Senior Women’s Coach, bringing his very successful coaching skills to Port Melbourne Soccer Club.
An FFA ‘C’ Licence accredited coach, John joins us from Kings Domain Football Club in South Yarra, whose State League 4 women’s side he successfully guided to a divisional championship and state grand final in 2018.
John brings a high level of football commitment, adding to Adam Piddick’s (Head of Football) philosophy, creating an environment of high technical/positive football and sporting club culture.
Adam Piddick, says that, ‘providing the same level of professionalism for both men and women’s football, is paramount to a successful football club. John brings this level to women’s football, which will create a clear football pathway for girls, whilst also embracing women’s community football’.

Having previously come through 2 years at Western Sydney Wanderers, this young talented and courageous GK can only get better.
